Notes:
Installing
Testing Program:
After clicking the PC option for the Installation Program above, it depends on which browser you are
using. Some portions of the install can take several minutes, so be
patient.
-
For
Internet Explorer, wait a couple seconds after clicking the Start
Installation button and a small window will open, which you choose
Run, then follow the instructions. If asked, Choose Allow to run the program, if your computer does not meet the requirements it will tell you on the first screen, Next, Next (for default folder location), Install (will tell you if you have enough space), Done.
-
For
Mozilla Firefox, after clicking the Start Installation button, a
small window will open, which you choose Save. Another small
download window will display where you can watch the progress.
Double-click the file once the download is complete and follow the
directions to complete the installation. If asked, Choose Allow to run the program, if your computer does not meet the requirements it will tell you on the first screen, Next, Next (for default folder location), Install (will tell you if you have enough space), Done.
-
For
Google Chrome, after clicking the Start Installation button,
the file will automatically begin downloading while showing the
progress at the bottom left of your browser window. Once the
download is finished, double-click the InstallOnlineAsmt file at the
bottom-left of your browser window. Then follow the instructions to finish the download. If asked, Choose Allow to run the program, if your computer does not meet the requirements it will tell you on the first screen, Next, Next (for default folder location), Install (will tell you if you have enough space), Done.
-
If
you believe you have already downloaded the file, you can browse to
its location to double-click it to install, however it is usually
best to start from the beginning with the Start Installation Program
button.
To
start the program for testing: Most installations will
place a McGraw Hill (red) icon on your Desktop to
double-click. Otherwise: Once
the program is installed, click Start, click Programs, click CTB, click
Online Assessment, and click the Online Assessment with the red icon
next to it.
Windows Firewall
(if left on) may ask you to Unblock the
program, then Continue, then ask you to Unblock again. You will
then need to double-click the McGraw Hill icon again after the unblock
options. You will be asked for the User ID, Password, and Test Code
mentioned above. You may need to temporarily stop Windows
Firewall..
Removing
the Testing Program from your Computer: (Start/Programs/Online
Assessment/Uninstall Online Assessment) After ALL Testing is completed,
you can uninstall the CTB McGraw Hill testing program from your
computer. Click Start, click Programs, look for and click CTB,
click Online Assessment, click Uninstall Online Assessment. Wait
for program to load, click Done when finished. There is no student data
accessible even if the program is left on the computer. |
