The
online curriculum has multiple advantages for the homeschool family.
Students from 3rd-8th grade use a computer with internet access to
complete school work.
SEA
Advantages:
Student
diagnostic testing for proper academic placement.
Academic projection for
graduation to clarify student requirements for motivation.
Covering
of accredited school enrollment, but work at home.
Provides
a high school transcript
from an accredited school.
College entrance school
number for testing and applications.
Annual
standardized achievement testing is included in tuition, which can be done at home ($50 value).
The online curriculum includes:
5 subjects from Math, Language Arts, History/Geography, Science, Bible, and Electives.
Computerized scoring.
Immediate answer reinforcement.
Academic advisor for placement analysis and record keeping.
Engaging multi-media content.
Enrichment web-sites and hands-on projects.
View grades online.
Our
online curriculum is an internet-based remote access program which
features 3-D animation and cutting edge
multimedia. Students finish lessons by completing various questions,
activities, and quizzes, with a computer over the internet.
Students are guided through the lessons at their own pace, giving them
the chance to master concepts before moving on to more challenging
lessons. There are approximately 130 lessons per subject. Five core
subjects — Bible, Language Arts, Math, History & Geography, and
Science — are available for grades 3-8. A number of electives are
also available.
The
online curriculum provides
an interactive
learning environment with 3-D animation, video clips, and other
fascinating multimedia. It provides automatic grading, record keeping,
and lesson planning with the click of a mouse, freeing parents more.
The
curriculum
is written on the principle of "mastery learning."
This means that students truly master the content and skills of one unit before progressing
to the next. Different students learn at different speeds, thus
mastery learning ensures success by allowing each student to spend as
much time as necessary in one subject area prior to moving
on.
One
advantage of the online method versus the CD curriculum: With our
Online Academy, occasional subjective scoring is handled by our
teachers. With CD curriculum, the parent handles the subjective
scoring.
Low
Tuition:
Four
payment options to choose from (monthly, quarterly, semester, yearly). Tuition includes curriculum fees
for five core subjects, achievement test, and academic advisor support. Additional subjects
$150 each. SEA requires a minimum of a two semester (annual) commitment
to protect the school's reputation for academic progress.
Semester, quarterly, and monthly payment options are a provided
convenience for the parents' commitment of two semesters.

| High
school students are normally required to use our Online

Optional
Teacher Support:
This
option includes everything above. The Teacher On Call program uses our internet-based online program
plus
receives extra academic assistance from a teacher
at SEA. Parents can direct their student to
use a SEA teacher for concept help and questions
rather than requiring the parent to explain
difficult concepts. Students can access
the extra assistance via the
message center directly in the curriculum. Parents
do not need to do any subjective scoring! Teacher
On Call can free up time for parents. It includes
additional math curriculum if
needed.
The
"Teacher On Call" tuition includes curriculum, achievement test, academic advisor support, and
an on call teacher for each subject. The 3rd-8th program
includes five subjects. The high school program includes
six subjects. Additional subjects $225 each.

Daily
Teacher Availability and Academic Support:
In the
online program with "Teacher On Call", your students will complete their schoolwork right at home and
submit it to our qualified teachers through either internet
synchronization or remote access (real time connection) each day. Our
teachers will grade the work, return it, and offer personalized academic
assistance. They personally review
all subjective problems and reports, address student questions and
concerns, and comment on student work. An internal e-mail messaging
system is built right into the curriculum, so that students and teachers
can easily communicate daily.
