Achievement Test Requirement

  • 8th Grade Graduates are required to achieve an overall Battery of 8.9 Grade Equivalency. If in Remedial work they are required to achieve a Grade Equivalence of 6.9 or higher.
  • 12th Grade Graduates: Vocational must have GE of 8.9 all others are GE of 12.9.

 Graduation Requirement Exceptions

* State History is not necessary if completed previously
** Basic Skills students should complete the highest possible level in all subjects, minimally up through the end of 8th and into 9th levels where indicated.  Transcript will state: “In recognition that (name) has fulfilled the requirements in an Individualized Course of Study ( IEP)  commensurate with the student’s aptitude and potential.  The College Preparatory course has not been completed; therefore, said student may not necessarily be prepared for college.”
*** Required by some universities and colleges.  
**** Honors Diploma will also require a total high school average of 94% or better, 1000 SAT or 22 ACT score and a minimum score of 12.9 on the CAT Total Battery.

 

SPECIAL NOTE: Only College Preparatory or Honor students may graduate early.  All other students must complete at least 8 full semesters after age 14, meet all course requirements, and earn a minimum of 24 units.
