Online SEA New Student Application 

The registration fee is due for each family on the application confirmation page and can be paid via credit card, PayPal, or telephone.  You must pay the $125 now for your application to be received!  The application fee is non-refundable. Once your application is received and reviewed, you will receive an email within 1-2 business days with a link for diagnostic work that your student(s) should complete.  STUDENTS SHOULD HAVE ACCESS TO THE INTERNET FOR THE DIAGNOSTIC WORK, even if using paper curriculum.  Then you will receive information and instructions to finalize curriculum options which are listed on our Admissions/Finance Information.  A statement will be sent for tuition and curriculum after enrollment is processed.

CURRICULUM PAYMENT PLAN (Yearly, Semester, Quarterly, or Monthly):  

For those taking advantage of our payment plan, tuition can be setup to be paid via credit/debit card OR with PayPal.  Credit/debit card tuition payments are setup by calling us (before curriculum is sent or online access is given).  PayPal tuition payments may be setup from our Admissions/Online Payments page.   Either payment method will be structured depending on the payment option you chose above.  If you choose the Paypal method, your first payment will be assessed the day you set it up, then afterward automatic payments every 30 days, 9 weeks, or 18 weeks depending on the structure you choose.  A $25 processing fee is assessed for a credit or debit card decline. 

To help us process your information faster, which method will you be using:   

TUITION:  This form is all that is due now, but your 1st tuition payment is due when you return the school contract that will be mailed to you. 

 

 

SEA PARENTAL REQUIREMENTS (2012-2013)  

 

Please read the following information carefully!   

 

In assuming the role of the teacher, the following are guidelines that must be followed:

  • Check your email a minimum of twice per week for SEA school communications.  Please add service@southeastacademyonline.com and kthompson@aopse.com to your address book or contact list so important communications are not blocked or delivered to spam.  

  • Check your student's lesson plan(s) daily either on paper or online to make sure your student is making progress.

  • Contact SEA if your student receives less than a 70% score on a quiz or test.  The quiz or test will normally be reissued by SEA.  For online curriculum users, the system will not allow scores below 80% for lessons.

  • Students must do at least one project and/or essay per unit (10 per subject). Others can be skipped if you feel necessary.  

  • I understand that I am responsible to purchase any supplies or equipment necessary for my student's science projects. HS lab kits are available for purchase on our website. Please call our office if you are considering this option.

  • Paper-based curriculum tests should mailed upon completion.  There will be a $2 per unit fee assessed for bulk mailing of tests. 

  • Keep copies of all tests mailed and keep a log of the mailing date. 

  • Students are expected to finish a unit of work approximately every 3 weeks per subject.

I understand that as a parent I am responsible for the training of my child/children and will not hold Southeast Academy responsible for any lack of academic achievement or progress. 

I understand that under no circumstances will Southeast Academy accept or give credit for completion of curriculum units for which tuition and curriculum has not been fully paid.  

I understand if I do not complete an annual Re-enrollment form (to check contact information changes, etc.) before June 1st that an annual registration fee of up to $125 is required. 

I understand that all students must take an annual achievement test each year. 

I understand that units that require repeating due to a low test score will have an additional cost.   

If a student is found to be cheating or shortcutting, the student will be required to use our Teacher Support program. This means tuition costs will go up for the remainder of the academic year and the Parent/Teacher will lose access to their Username and Password. No Exceptions!!   Do not allow your students to access your username or password for any reason. Protect the security of your password to ensure academic integrity.

I understand that no refunds are given for registration and testing fees.  Tuition refunds are as follows:

                Withdrawal before curriculum sent                                100%*                                                    

                Before expiration of 10 days of shipment                        50%* of full year's tuition

                After 10 days of shipment or online setup:

                                 -Withdrawal during 1st semester requires payment of 5 months of tuition (or 2 quarters of tuition). 
                                 -Withdrawal during 2nd semester requires payment for the full year of tuition.

*Represents applicable percentages of tuition/curriculum reimbursement outlined on full-year financial agreement.  

I understand that all shipments must be opened and checked immediately upon receipt, and that SEA is not responsible to replace missing items after 10 days from the invoice date.  I understand that items damaged in shipping or showing signs of handling will not be accepted for return or credit.

I understand that notice of withdrawal or request for transcripts must be made in writing.  The first transcript will be sent free of charge but additional requests will be subject to a $5.00 processing fee.  

 

A $20 late charge is assessed if payment is not received within 15 days of payment due date. A $25 processing fee is assessed for any credit or debit card payment declines.
